Reviews on pickleball equipment are pretty subject Reviews on pickleball equipment are pretty subjective but I’ll let people know if I come across something that I like & will keep using. One of those items are the shoes from @frankworks.shoes . Have to admit, these are not your typical court shoes. Did feel a little bit like Marty McFly trying on futuristic shoes. However, any bit of apprehension I might have had went away after playing a few matches. The sock like outer covering made my feet feel at one with the shoe, but not compressed. Very breathable with a nice toe box for my wide feet. I play a lot, so I’ll check back on durability after a few weeks. Big fan so far.

I recently played with the Redeemed Genesis 16mm T I recently played with the Redeemed Genesis 16mm Toray T700 Raw Carbon Fiber Paddle from www.redeemedpickleball.com. My first impression was this is a pretty standard, but well-made raw carbon paddle. Surface has an appropriate amount of grit for those wanting to utilize the raw carbon texture for some extra spin. I played a few rec games over the course of a weekend with this paddle. The Redeemed Genesis plays very similarly to both the Ronbus R3.16 and the Head Radical Tour Raw that at various times were my go-to paddles for competitive play. For those with smaller hands, the grip on this handle is listed as 4.25 and might be a good alternative for those that prefer a smaller grip. Paddle is USA Pickleball approved, so ok to utilize as your tournament paddle if need be. All in all, this a pretty good paddle, especially at its current price point. Recommend for those looking to upgrade from graphite or composite surface.

After deciding to move on from the Joola Colin Johns Sorpeus 3 (which I love but isn’t worth the drama of using an ‘illegal’ paddle), I begin the process of looking for a new paddle. After many demos & borrowing friends paddles, I decided on the @volairpickleball Mach 2 Forza. I had played with both the Mach 1 & 2, but the 2 closely resembles & plays much like the Joola I was using. Getting the ‘Pickleball Effect Edition’ was a bonus as it is a beautiful paddle with a portion supporting charity. Very impressed with the exceptional packaging, eraser, replacement grip & weighted tape that came with the paddle. Excellent job, @volairpickleball.

6+ hours of pickleball. Sweated through 13 T Shirt 6+ hours of pickleball. Sweated through 13 T Shirts, 12 wristbands & 5 hats. Had some breaks go our way & against us but all evened out for 3rd place in a tough field of 4.0 35+. Big shout out to @virginiamiracle who I abandoned all day to play this silly but super fun game.

Got to try out the new Gamma Librarian foam pickle Got to try out the new Gamma Librarian foam pickleball today from @gammapickleball . Was expecting to hate it, but I was very surprised at how similar the playing experience was to a traditional ball. If you listen to the sound on this video you can hear the clack of a traditional ball on the court next to us compared to the dull ‘thump’ of the Gamma Librarian. Was playing with 3 other players with 15+ tears of pb experience & all agreed we would use this ball again. If you have noise issues where you play (or even if you don’t), I suggest giving this ball a shot. #pickleballaustin #austinpickleball #gammapickleball #quietpickleball #foampickleballs

Was able to combine two of my favorite activities Was able to combine two of my favorite activities today with the help of Girl Scout Troop 42435 as we had a beginner pickleball lesson while raising over 500 diapers for the @austindiaperbank . Super fun day with a great group of young women.

Played pickleball recently with a rep from VT Adva Played pickleball recently with a rep from VT Advantec. I’ve tried both the replacement grip & their tacky over grip. If you play tennis or pickleball long enough you will likely deal with elbow or forearm issues. Their anti-vibration grips do seem to make a difference for me.
